Tara Rengifo has a diverse legal practice with a focus on environmental law. She currently works as an associate attorney at Adams Broadwell Joseph & Cardozo, handling a variety of cases involving environmental laws such as the California Environmental Quality Act and other land use laws.  Prior to joining the firm in August of 2021, Tara dedicated four years to the Environmental Defense Center (EDC), a non-profit environmental law firm. In addition to her legal practice at EDC, she also gained experience with coalition building, multi-sector partnerships, and communications through outreach materials, media, webinars, and public forums.  Before joining EDC, Tara practiced as a civil litigator in Santa Barbara. In addition to serving as the President of SBWL and on the Foundation Board, she has served on the Board for the Santa Barbara County Bar Association and previously acted as co-editor for the Santa Barbara Lawyer Magazine.  Tara graduated from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law with honors and a certificate in environmental law in 2015.
