Born and raised in Santa Barbara County, is a graduate of Cabrillo High School in Lompoc, California. She attended San Diego State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology in 2014. She returned to Santa Barbara County following college to attend Santa Barbara College of Law. She earned her juris doctorate degree in 2017. Taylor received the Witkin Award for outstanding academics in Community Property and Criminal Law while a student. She became licensed as an attorney in 2018.
